EFF shuts down Midrand road
] Due to the protest, there has been a significant interruption in the movement of traffic in Gauteng, which has led to significant delays starting at the Buccleuch Interchange and delays continuing onto the N1 South starting at the N14 Braamfontein Interchange. The N1 is now home to police officers from the
Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD).Several parties have also protested the release of Walus in the streets, not just the EFF. The Tripartite Alliance (ANC, COSATU, and SACP) also recognized December 1 as National Chris Hani Day and marched to the Kgosi Mampuru II Correctional Institution in Tshwane, where Walus was serving his term.
